Exactly what data we collect, what we use it for, and who it is shared with.

  1. 1.What we get from Discord

On sign-in we receive your Discord ID, username, display name, avatar and email address (and whether it is verified).

We also request permission to add you to the Taskly server (guilds.join). We do not read your list of other servers.

Discord access and refresh tokens are stored so we can keep your roles in sync.

  2. 2.What you give us

Your profile (headline, bio, skills and levels, location, availability, minimum budget), the tasks you post, applications, messages, submissions, reviews and any files you attach.

  3. 3.What we collect automatically

When a session is created we store the IP address and user agent — used only for security and rate limiting.

Activity records such as task views and application counts.

  4. 4.What we use it for

Matching tasks to your skills. This is a fixed, explainable formula — your data is not sent to a third-party model for it.

Sending notifications on the site and, if you allow it, on Discord.

Detecting fraud and spam, and resolving disputes.

Computing the figures on your profile (completed tasks, rating, completion rate).

  5. 5.Who it is shared with

Discord — your Discord ID, to deliver notifications and assign roles.

The other party on a task — they see your profile, your messages and your submissions.

Publicly — your username, avatar, headline, skills, rating and completed-task count.

We do not sell data for advertising.

  6. 6.Retention

Sessions expire after 30 days and are pruned automatically.

Task, transaction and review history is retained for financial and dispute purposes.

  7. 7.Profile pictures

Avatars are loaded directly from Discord's CDN (cdn.discordapp.com), which means Discord can see that a visitor loaded a page showing that avatar.

Apart from that, the site loads no third-party scripts, fonts or analytics at all.

  8. 8.Cookies

One strictly necessary cookie: the sign-in session (taskly_session). No analytics or advertising cookies.

Your light/dark preference is kept in browser localStorage, not a cookie.

  9. 9.Your rights

You can edit your profile at any time. For account deletion, contact us at the address above.
